west elm

color story: moss + pink

Pink has always been a chic, feminine color.  But using pink in your home doesn’t have to say, “hey look at me, I’m a girls bedroom!”  If it feels too girly for your taste, jazz it up with mossy green to create a fun, welcoming space!

These colors tend to create a more traditional feel, but depending on the patterns and textures used, the look lean towards bohemian, modern, or tropical.

color story: camel + navy

I love the color of camel specifically because it can instantly dress up any space.  It feels, warm, rich, and sophisticated.  While Navy’s personality gives off different vibes – nautical, bold, traditional – these two totally compliment each other. If you’re going for a look that is classic and stylish, but not overly feminine, these 2 are for you.

Pair with textures like acrylic or metallic for a more modern feel.

Use these 2 as a color pop in with light walls to enhance a neutral space.

Or go with a deep blue paint color to make the space feel warm and masculine.

Navy and yellow.  A perfect pairing for the lover of the crisp and classic blue mixed with a cheery, modern ray of sunlight.  I’m starting to see the pair together more… and I’m liking what I see!

must have outdoor fabric & furniture just in time for summer

Hello friends!  The unofficial start to summer is officially here.  I’m ready to get outdoors this weekend…  No better way to enjoy your outdoor space then to jazz it up with colorful fabrics and comfy furniture!

First I bring you my 2 favorite collections of indoor/outdoor fabrics right now: Echo Design & Windsor Smith by Kravet.

Not only are these fabrics gorgeous, but also durable enough to withstand the outdoor elements or toughest indoor abuse.

.

ECHO DESIGN

Back in 1923, Echo began as a scarf company.  After 3 generations, Echo has grown into a global design company with a wide range of fashion accessories and home decorative products.  As a fusion of classic design with modern American sensibility,  Echo’s fabrics launched earlier this year are a combination of “vivid color palettes of sky blues, lime greens, rich oranges and sophisticated neutrals”.
