The colors matched together give this bedroom a look that is classic yet undeniably luxurious.

One day I pray I will have the patience to do something like this to my nails!!

These 2 high contrasting colors give this living space a powerful punch.

I love all kinds of restorations. The creativity that comes with taking something old and having it come alive again in a whole new way totally inspires me. It really gives perspective on how one man’s trash really is another’s treasure!

That being said, there’s a special place in my heart for vintage airstreams. I’m always amazed by how such a small space can be utilized so efficiently! What could possibly be more perfect then a cute little trailer you can travel, work, or play in??

When I lived in Florida, I worked in the best beach town ever, Seaside. We had the greatest little airstream food court right in the town center.

I used to walk over on my break to grab a sandwich, smoothie, or snowcone. I had no idea just how spoiled I was!!

This renovated beauty is from the girls over at Oh So Lovely blog. They have a mobile vintage clothing shop in this trailer – how freakin cool is that!?

color story: peach + emerald

Bold emerald green matched with soft peach is both flirty and fierce! I’m loving these 2 colors together.

(It’s past my bedtime, and I’m sleepy. So instead of attempting to come up with witty captions, I’ll show you pretty pictures and your imagination can take it from there 🙂 )

summer pops of color

I’m loving designer Thom Filicia‘s latest fabric collection from Kravet! So many fun and inspiring colors – like turquoise, lime, red-orange – that embrace the exciting yet carefree mood of summer.

This first one is my fave. You might not be able to tell from the picture, but the green lines are actually embroidered.

Red-orange is where it’s at right now.

This one’s soft to the touch. It comes in a gray and a blue as well.

This would make a nice herringbone pillow, throw or coverlet.

Pigeon & Poodle: all in the details

Design really is in the details.

The larger pieces always seem to be the main focus of the designer, but we have to be careful not to lose sight of the smaller details and accessories we put into each project. It’s these pretty little things that give the design character and make it unique. Even the most minimal or simple designs will need to be carefully refined.

A few months back I found this wonderful accessories company called Pigeon and Poodle. (Great name, right??) They specialize in bath accessories, but also carry other home items like frames and baskets. Their product line is inspired from nature and world travel, so each piece has its own story. Beautiful handcrafted trays made from capiz shells (as shown below), marble soap dishes, and onyx tissue boxes are just a few of the offerings in their bath collection.

Here’s some of my favorites:

Pigeon and Poodle kicked off 2013 debuting at the Atlanta Gift Show, New York Gift Show and Las Vegas Market, and have been featured in House Beautiful.
