Month: November 2012

holiday in the {hollywood} hills

Did anyone catch the this month’s Lonny mag??

I just had to point out the awesome home of L.A. based designer Mark D. Sikes.   It’s insane how effortless a home can appear while remaining so refined in the smallest of details.  While you’re drooling, take note of all the natural elements that give the space a serene and earthy atmosphere.  Here’s a few of the highlights:

I’m loving the neutral, soothing palette.

How cute are these little white mini pumpkins for each place setting?!

This is such a welcoming and comfortable kitchen, especially with the seating area and built-in book storage in close proximity.

Tile + mirror = winning combo

Ahh so cozy.

Striped awning: I see you!!

Wow what gorgeous views!!  And the landscaping flows perfectly.

thursday thoughts: hello november

November is here again… one of my favorite months!  Despite the 85 degree temperature, here’s just a taste of all the things I’ve been daydreaming about all day….

Yes I’m aware (but still in denial) that the leaves do not change color in Texas.  (This picture was taken by my husband a couple weeks ago when he was up in Michigan)

I’m usually not big on coffee but a nice warm latte sounds fabulous in the fall!

Soon it will be time to dress like this.

Thanksgiving is right around the corner….. 🙂
